Granular Activated Carbon is utilized for filtering air and liquids to eliminate organic pollutants.

Uses: It is effective in adsorbing small molecular weight organics and pesticides from both waste and potable water as well as in deozonation processes in aquatic centers.

  • Waste Water Treatment:
    • Waste Water: The granular activated carbon acts as a filter in a vessel through which water is pumped. It is regularly backwashed and can last several years before needing replacement.
    • Stormwater: It is incorporated into a stormwater sand filter designed specifically for treating stormwater effectively removing organic compounds.
    • Chlorine Removal: It is used to remove chlorine from municipal water supplies for various processing plants.
    • Aquatic Centre: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel for water pumping similar to its application in waste water treatment.
