Description

Replace your universal joint using tools you have at home. Locate the u joint at the end of your drive shaft and visually inspect it to determine if it needs replacement.

Maintain your u joints in good working condition to prevent issues such as vibration rattles or squeaking that can arise from failing u joints.

This drive shaft u joint is compatible with various vehicles from the 80s to 00s. Refer to the image for specific makes and models. If you’re not confident in your skills consider having a mechanic install it.

If you have the necessary tools you can replace the cardan joint yourself. Begin by getting under the vehicle and removing the bolts that secure the drive shaft. Follow the remaining steps as needed.

After installation top off the greaseable u-joint using a grease gun until the grease overflows. Wipe off any excess grease and then perform a test drive to ensure everything is installed correctly.
