Description

Introduction

The HDMI Extender over RJ45 CAT5/CAT6 is a device designed to extend HDMI signals up to 230 feet (70 meters) to a compatible display. It converts HDMI signals to standard HD BaseT signals allowing transmission via Ethernet cables. Additionally it supports bidirectional infrared control signals enabling control of the source device from the sink side and vice versa over long distances.

Features

  • Supports Power Over Ethernet (POE) allowing either the transmitter or receiver to be powered by a 24V@1A power supply while the other unit does not require power from the DC jack. POE power consumption is less than 10W.
  • Utilizes a single UTP LAN cable (CAT-5E/6) to replace HDMI cables for long-distance transmission.
  • Follows the IEEE-568B standard for UTP cable termination.
  • Transmission distances:
    • Over CAT6 cable: 70 meters for 1080P @60Hz 36bit; 3D 1080P @30Hz 36bit.
    • 40 meters for 1080P @60Hz 48bit; 1080P @120Hz 24bit; 3D 1080P @60Hz 36bit; 4K x 2K @30Hz 24bit.
  • Supports display resolutions up to 4K x 2K @30Hz.
  • Full HD support: 1080p @60Hz @48 bit/pixels 1080p @120Hz @24 bit/pixels 3D 1080P @60Hz and 4K x 2K @30Hz @24bit.
  • Transfers bidirectional infrared control signals along with the HDMI signal.
