- Waste Water: The granular activated carbon acts as a filter in a vessel through which water is pumped. It is regularly backwashed and can last several years before needing replacement.
- Stormwater: It is incorporated into a stormwater sand filter designed specifically for treating stormwater effectively removing organic compounds.
- Chlorine Removal: It is used to remove chlorine from municipal water supplies for various processing plants.
- Aquatic Centre: The granular activated carbon is used as a filter in a vessel for water treatment which is also backwashed and can last several years before replacement is necessary.
