Description

This horror classic tells the story of a greedy baron who in his desperation to retrieve a winning lottery ticket unearths his father’s corpse. His reward is an enormous jackpot but it comes at a terrible cost: his face becomes permanently frozen in a grotesque grin.

In his quest to lift this horrifying curse the baron enlists the help of his devious one-eyed servant. However their attempts to break the curse are unsuccessful. Ultimately the baron seeks the expertise of a renowned neuro-surgeon who happens to be his wife’s former lover in hopes of finding a cure.

This film is based on a novella by a well-known screenwriter and is directed by a master of horror bringing a chilling tale to life.
