This vinyl album was released in 1971 and is the artist’s second studio album. It received four Grammy Awards in 1972 including Album of the Year and was the first female artist to be awarded a Diamond certification in the United States.
The artist began her music career as a songwriter collaborating with her husband. They achieved significant success writing hits for various well-known artists.
After separating from her husband she relocated to the West Coast of the USA and launched a solo career. This led to worldwide success with her second LP which is considered timeless. While there are many great songs on her later albums it is this particular release that ensures her lasting legacy.
